Miscellaneous

We attended a surprise 60th birthday party tonight for Uncle Jim. They had him fooled until he saw his son's (Jason's cousin) car. Then he knew he had been "set up" in his words. What a fun night, though. He is such a good sport.

We need to take pictures of the living room. It is "torn apart" in almost every sense. When we bought the house in '03 almost every room and hallway had the horrifying 70s wallpaper... and shag carpet. We're down to seven rooms and one hallway (I think--sometimes my math isn't the best) with the ugly wallpaper. Anyway the living room has the wains coating removed and I've finally finished stripping wallpaper and washing off the paste. No more wallpaper!! Ever!! I think it is supposedly fairly easy to remove the newer type of wallpaper and paste, but after everything we've seen and done thus far, I don't think we would want to touch it ever again! It seems so much easier to paint a new color when you're bored with the look. I've even tried my hand at sponge painting in the dining room. My friend actually thought it was wallpaper, so I must have done a decent job.

Tomorrow I'll do a pilates class at Gold's Gym with a friend I've met through church who also has struggled with fertility (i.e., multiple miscarriages and a still birth). I need to get back to an exercise routine. It really helps my stress level. Hopefully this class can be my push back into it.

Jason is off to Mexico again in a week. It won't be so bad for us this time since it will be only one week instead of two (barring no travel challenges on the return trip).

Returning Friday

Jason is to return Friday night. He's scheduled to fly out of Obregon, Mexico 1025 EST and arrive in Charlottesville @ 2040 EST (with a couple of different flights in between). The dogs and I will be so excited! He hasn't been feeling well. :( Something with his stomach and bad allergies. (No, he's not drinking the water.) He's ready to come home.

We had my good friend spend the weekend with her boys (1 and 4). They were a joy and the dogs loved having them. We both were so impressed with how well they did with the little kids. Yay that is great for us when and if we have the pitter patter of those little feet! ;-)

Away He Goes

Jason leaves Monday for Mexico. His loooong day of travel will include...
DEPART Charlottesville @ 0655 EST
ARRIVE Ciudad Obregon @ 1900 (pretty sure that is 2100 EST)

Of course I will miss him every day, but I think Indy will too! Razor, hmm, he is so laid back (typical Labrador), I don't think it will scar him too badly. J & Indy are *tight*

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, To Mexico He Goes

I don't remember the 7 Dwarfs ever Hi Ho-ing to Mexico, but Jason is on his way there again on the 22nd for ASR. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about the locality.

On the Way...

For those of you who are interested... Jason should be on his way home from working in Mexico. He was to leave @ 2000 EST. He is VERY ready to be home, and we sure miss him here. He will stay overnight tonight in Phoenix and be home Friday. Thanks to those of you who have asked about him.

Deodorant O Please

Please laugh at this because it is too funny. In Tucson security asked Jason to dispose of his deodorant!! The packaging read 4 oz but even though you could tell less than 3 oz was in the packaging she made him throw it out! Now is this really security when we are being made to dispose of our anti-perspirant?!? We might all be sorry if too many deodorants are in the trash and not under our pits!

Mexico Schmexico

Jason prepares once again to head for Mexico Monday for work. Please pray
for his safe travels and low hassle flight!

Summer's Over

We had a great time with Paige's LVC housemates. They slept in a lot and didn't see a lot of the sites. :) But it was wonderful for Paige having them here to visit. Where has the summer gone? Jason expects to go to Mexico again in another couple of weeks. He stays busy at home mowing and woodworking projects! Paige is still trying to declutter STUFF! And train Razor when she feels the inspiration. He is still in puppy class and growing by leaps and bounds. He is almost 4 months old already!!!! Oh, and we also got Indy a DogWatch® unground electric fence. He is so much happier now being able to go where he pleases outside (on our property only of course). Perhaps Razor will need a collar later. We will see how he does. He is still a bit young to train for it. He still tends to want to keep us in sight.

Love to all,

P & J

Mexico ... & Hair?

Jason is off to Mexico again for about a week. Paige is eager for her Lutheran Volunteer Corps housemates to visit in a couple of weeks. And we have decided to bite the bullet as they say, and buy an underground electric fence for Indy (& Razor). We hope it will give them more freedom outside.

And... what happened to Paige's hair???? The stylist took a "bit" too much off, but at least it is July and she is in the right month to enjoy it! Oh, and she never wears it straight so she thought she'd better preserve "the look" with a pic.

What do you think?

Safe and Sound

Jason made it safe and sound to Mexico last night. He is to return Friday evening for a long 4th of July weekend. Here in Virginia it continues to rain rain rain! Streams and rivers continue to rise... We needed rain but... enough is enough! Blessings, ~ Paige

Mexico

Jason is off to Obregon, Mexico again for work where they are setting up a new plant. He traveled the week of May 30, and is preparing again June 26, and then July 10. He tires from all the comings and goings (3 hour time difference) and would much prefer to be home with the wife and doing his woodworking (trying to complete some bookcases)! Please pray for his safe travels. ~ P & J
